Man dead, woman injured in Robeson County shootings

The Robeson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that started as a domestic dispute and ended with a man dead and a woman injured. According to officials, deputies responded to the shootings at 314 Southfork Road in Parkton shortly after midnight Saturday morning and found Dylan Tigart, 28, and Vanessa Davis, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds.

PARKTON, N.C. — The Robeson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident that started as a domestic dispute and ended with a man dead and a woman injured.

According to officials, deputies responded to the shootings at 314 Southfork Road in Parkton shortly after midnight Saturday morning and found Dylan Tigart, 28, and Vanessa Davis, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Deputies determined Tigart shot Davis in a domestic dispute, and a third person trying to intervene shot Tigart.

Tigart died after being transported to Chapel Hill Medical Center.

Davis was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
