Man dead in Wilson shooting

Wilson, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in Wilson early Tuesday.
Wilson police officers responded to an emergency call about 1 a.m. at an apartment at 3510 Ward Boulevard and found resident Eric Tyquan Delonte Williams, 22, with a gunshot wound.
Williams was taken to Wilson Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Wilson police at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255. Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, and callers never have to identify themselves.
Officers said more information about the case will be released as it becomes available.
