Man dies after hit-and-run on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh

A pedestrian was hit by multiple cars Wednesday morning in southeast Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man died from his injuries hours after a hit-and-run Wednesday morning in southeast Raleigh.

The crash occurred before 12:45 a.m. in the 5300 block of Rock Quarry Road near Jones Sausage Road.

Police said Julian Terrell Patterson-Scott, 28, of Raleigh, was walking toward traffic in the eastbound lane when he was struck. He died from his injuries by 6:30 a.m.

Investigators were looking for a red minivan and believe multiple cars hit than man before they fled the scene. An investigation is underway.

Neighbors in the area said that area of Rock Quarry Road is especially dangerous but they see people walking along it often.
