FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating after a man crashed his car after getting shot Monday night.

Fayetteville police said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 6300 block of Raeford Road at about 9:30 p.m. and located a crashed vehicle near the intersection of Bingham Drive and McDougal Drive.

Authorities said a man inside the car, identified as Justin L. Williams, 42, had an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 14-month-old inside the vehicle was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and was listed in good condition.

Fayetteville police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide and Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
