MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A man is suing a Myrtle Beach hotel after he says a cockroach crawled in his ear and caused hearing loss.
A WPDE report indicates the suit from Todd VanSickle was filed at the end of March.

The claim comes from a July 2021 stay at the Ocean Sands Club on Shore Drive.

In the suit, his attorneys said while VanSickle was asleep, the roach crawled into his ear, causing serious pain.

They're claiming the resort was negligent by not warning him about roaches, and not properly cleaning the room. VanSickle, who was visiting from Ohio, is seeking an unspecified amount of money.

Ocean Sands Resort has not responded to media outlets when asked for comment.
