DUDLEY, N.C. — A local man has been charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail at a Wayne County residence, authorities said.
Clarence Cleveland Boswell, 57, of 132 Legion Lake Drive, has been charged with first-degree arson after a bottle containing gasoline was ignited and thrown at a nearby residence last Saturday, authorities said.
The incendiary device fell short of a rear window, but the residence sustained some fire damage, authorities said. A woman was in the residence at the time.
Boswell was in jail Thursday under a $40,000 bond.
