Man charged with shooting Rocky Mount teen

— Eric Ricardo Davis, 20, faces four charges in a shooting that took place Thursday night in the parking lot of Rocky Mount High School.

Police said Davis shot Octavious Wilkins, 17, just before 8:30 p.m. Wilkins was taken to Nash General Hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening, police said.

Police arrested Davis shortly after the incident and charged him with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharging a firearm on school property and possession of firearm by felon.

Davis was being held in Nash County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
