ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Police arrested a man whom they think fired a shotgun in the Cedarbrook Drive area Thursday afternoon. No one was injured.

Officers responded to calls about shots fired around 3 p.m., and two witnesses identified Taurean Daquon Pittman as the shooter, police said.

Officers said Pittman then went into a house at 920 Cedarbrook Drive to avoid arrest, but they took him into custody.

Pittman was charged with discharging a firearm inside the city limits and resisting arrest. He was given a $1,000 bond.
