CARY, N.C. — Cary police arrested a 40-year-old man Friday on 14 charges related to the possession of child pornography, according to arrest warrants.

Sergio Pulido Lopez, of 102 Barnes St., faces 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was being held in the Wake County Jail Sunday under a $10 million secured bond.

Lopez's arrest was part of an investigation by Cary's cybercrimes unit, a national network that tracks the trading of child porn over the Internet.

Police said they found 14 videos on Lopez's home computer of young girls engaging in sex acts. They say it appears he shared those files online.

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement has also placed Lopez under a detainer, because he is suspected of being in the country illegally.

His first court appearance was set for Monday.
