Man charged with first-degree murder 6 months after Cumberland County shooting

A man was shot and killed Monday night in Cumberland County.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in a deadly shooting that occurred back in September.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Jamal Robinson, 27, in connection with the Sept. 26, 2022, death of 32-year-old Jermaine Haley.

Haley was found on Sept. 26 around midnight in the 2600 block of Belhaven Drive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Haley died at the scene, and his family members were notified.

Officials believe Haley was targeted and said the shooting was not random.

Robinson was bveing held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
