Man Charged With Choking Toddler
A Fayetteville man was charged Wednesday with physically abusing a 3-year-old girl, authorities said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was charged Wednesday with physically abusing a 3-year-old girl, authorities said.
Timothy Jerome Medley Jr., 20, of 223 Canady St., was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond.
Investigators said Medley grabbed the girl by the throat and tried to strangle her sometime last Friday. The girl also was struck on the head and shoulders, resulting in bruising, authorities said.
The girl was treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and released. Physicians told authorities that visible marks on her face and body indicated abuse.
