CARY, N.C. — A 27-year-old Cary man has been accused of assaulting an infant and sexually molesting two girls and a woman on Saturday.

He grabbed the buttocks of the woman and one girl and took "immoral, improper and indecent liberties" with the other girl, who was less than 16 years old, the warrants say.

At the time, Cruz-Mendez was carrying a large knife with a 6- to 8-inch blade, according to the warrants.

He was charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count each of felony indecent liberties with a minor, assault on a child under age 12 and carrying a concealed weapon.

He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
