A Spring Lake man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder Wednesday evening following a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on Sweet Lane, authorities said. 

<b>SPRING LAKE, N.C.</b> — A Spring Lake man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder Wednesday evening following a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on Sweet Lane, authorities said. 

According to Harnett County deputies, Jamie Delano Benson shot Christopher Darrell Davis, 26, sometime around 7 p.m. 

Benson, 31, of 113 Sweet Lane, was arrested at the scene and was being held without bond in the Harnett County jail, pending a June 5 court appearance.

No additional information about what caused the shooting was released.
