Man charged in Raleigh stabbing

An 18-year-old Raleigh was charged with stabbing another man during an argument early Saturday, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old Raleigh was charged with stabbing another man during an argument early Saturday, police said.

Investigators said that Damien Lamar Squire stabbed Brian Jamel Johnson, 21, on Alenja Lane around 3:30 a.m.

Johnson underwent surgery at WakeMed and was in critical but stable condition Saturday evening, police said.

Squire was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was being held in the Wake County Jail.
