A 46-year-old Raleigh man who was placed on probation in November faces charges in a Dec. 3 armed robbery of a convenience store.
According to an arrest warrant, Dwayne Rea Foster, of 520 Fenwick Drive, used a knife to hold up a clerk at the Metro Mart convenience store at the BP gas station, on Olympia Drive, around 10:20 p.m.
Foster was arrested Thursday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in the Wake County Jail under a $50,000 bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
Foster was given probation for a Nov. 13 conviction on drug charges, according to state Department of Correction records. He has served prison sentences for first-degree kidnapping, common-law robbery convictions, assault and larceny.
