SANFORD, N.C. — A man was charged with three counts of first-degree murder after two adults and an infant were found dead Friday in a Sanford home.

Warrants have been obtained for Kareem Daquan Taylor, 24, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office said. Taylor was taken into custody late Saturday night in Cameron, deputies said.

Jocelyn Perkins, 22, and Jasmine Perkins, 20, were found dead at a home on Forest Manor Drive at about 6:30 p.m. An infant was also found dead.

One child was found unharmed.

"Social services came, put her in their vehicle and took her away," neighbor Michelle Cruz said.

Deputies said Jocelyn and Jasmine Perkins were sisters and the deceased infant was the child of Jocelyn Perkins and Taylor. Authorities did not say how the surviving child was related.

Sheriff Wayne Coats did not say how the three victims were killed.

Coats said he did not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

Deputies would not let anybody near the scene Friday night, but neighbors near the home saw what was going on.

"It was a very scary situation. We are all freaking out," Cruz said.

Signs of violence lingered at the Forest Manor Drive home Saturday, as crime scene tape hung on the mailbox.

Anyone with any information can call the Harnett County Sheriff's Office at 910-893-9111.
