Man charged in fatal Raleigh hit-and-run
A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a weekend hit-and-run in north Raleigh that left one person dead.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a weekend hit-and-run in north Raleigh that left one person dead.
Juan Alejandro Sandoval, 24, was charged with felony death by vehicle, felony hit-and-run and driving while impaired.
Rony Kevin Velasquez, 22, was hit at the intersection of Atlantic and Sego Court early Sunday morning, police said, and the driver of the pickup that hit him and at least one passenger ran off.
The case remains under investigation.
