A Durham man was charged Thursday with stabbing a woman to death in a local park.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A Durham man was charged Thursday with stabbing a woman to death in a local park.

Michael Anthony Person, 55, was charged with murder in the Tuesday night death of 50-year-old Alicia Elder.

Elder's body was found in Hillside Park, which is in a residential area along South Roxboro Street.

Police said the stabbing doesn’t appear to be random, but they didn't release any information as to a possible motive or what evidence linked Person to the crime.
