Man Charged in Armed Heist in Cumberland

Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies made an arrest in an armed robbery case Tuesday while searching a house to help in a Fayetteville investigation.
They charged Marcus Jerome Morgan, 25, of 5624 Carson Drive, Fayetteville, with robbing a Family Dollar store in the Skyland Shopping Center last week. Deputies found Morgan when they went into a house at 5728 Holland St., the sheriff's office said.
The house was listed in a search warrant that Fayetteville police had obtained in a related investigation, deputies said.
