One person was charged after a pedestrian was struck by a car Thursday morning in Chapel Hill.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — One person was charged after a pedestrian was struck by a car Thursday morning in Chapel Hill.

Chapel Hill police said crews responded to the crash at about 8:30 a.m. on Erwin road near Dobbins Drive.

The pedestrian, who was not identified, was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

Abimelec Perez Rubio, 42, of Chapel Hill, was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and driving without a license.
