ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — For the second time in eight months, law enforcement officers found a man with drugs inside a room at American Express Inn in Rocky Mount.

He was arrested at the hotel on June 4 after a search of his room based on tips about someone using and selling drugs. Inside room No. 224, officers found 83 doses of heroin packaged for sale, 20.3 grams of raw heroin, 2.3 grams of “crack” cocaine, 33.9 grams of marijuana and a Hi-Point 9mm handgun.
