Man arrested in Spring Lake bingo robbery

South Carolina state police arrested a man charged in the robbery of a Spring Lake bingo hall last fall.

SPRING LAKE, N.C. — South Carolina state police arrested a man charged in the robbery of a Spring Lake bingo hall last fall.

Delvonne Antonio Turner, 23, of 528 Donovan St. in Fayetteville, was wanted for the Oct. 15 robbery of Tami's Bingo at 208 N. Main St. He was caught in South Carolina Saturday and has been extradited to Cumberland County.

Turner faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of stolen property and felony conspiracy. He was given a $40,000 secured bond.

Spring Lake police said they expect to charge at least one more person in the case.

Turner has convictions for felony drug possession and resisting an officer, according to state Division of Adult Correction records.
