— Police arrested a man wanted for stealing five copper downspouts from a building at 817 Hillsborough St. June 15, Raleigh Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

Officers M.F. Walton and R.C. Kovach arrested Willie Donnell Silver, 50, Saturday morning. He is charged with possession of stolen goods, larceny and obtaining property by false pretenses.

The estimated replacement cost of the stolen copper is $6,000, Sughrue said.

Silver was being held at Wake County Jail Saturday under a $10,000 bond.
