Man arrested in fatal Goldsboro stabbing

Goldsboro police arrested a man Wednesday on charges in connection with a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police arrested a man Wednesday on charges in connection with a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

Antony Jacob Lewis, 26, of 205 E. April Lane in Goldsboro, faces one count of murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder in the Saturday incident, which occurred in a field in the 300 block of Wilmington Avenue.

Investigators said Vanico Dicole Perkins was pronounced dead at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Another man, Brian Christopher Wynn, was also stabbed and was still being treated at the hospital Wednesday, police said.

Lewis was in the Wayne County jail Wednesday evening without bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for Thursday.
