<b>SANFORD, N.C.</b> — A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Sanford from Wednesday.

Markee Watson was taken into custody in the death of Wendell Devon Hill.

Watson is facing one count of first degree murder and is being held in Lee County Jail under no bond.

Police found Hill had been shot in his chest around noon on Wednesday at a home on Pineland Street. Hill was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 20 years old.

Watson, 21, was arrested at the Econo Lodge on Comfort Lane on Thursday night.

Mykia Daniel, an eighth grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh apartment. A 16-year-old was charged with her murder.
