SELMA, N.C. — A Johnston County man was charged with murder Friday in his brother's death, authorities said.
A badly decomposed body was found in a home off N.C. Highway 96 in Selma on Saturday. An autopsy determined the man died from a gunshot wound.

The man was identified Friday as 41-year-old Gregory Johnson, authorities said. His brother, 43-year-old Elijah Leslie Johnson, was charged, authorities said.

No information about a motive in the death was released.

Elijah Johnson is being held without bond in the Johnston County Jail. He was already in jail after an arrest earlier this month on several charges, including drunken driving and cocaine possession.
