Fayetteville, N.C. — One person was killed and two other people were injured in a shooting on Friday night at a birthday party in Fayetteville, according to officials.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Gillespie Street just before 10 p.m. where they found two men and one woman with multiple gunshot wounds.
Darrion Tyler, 18, from Fayetteville, was shot multiple times and died in the hospital. Jocephus Jones III, 18, from Parkton, and Destiny Bradford, 22, were both transported to the hopsital for their gunshot wounds. Both Jones and Bradford are expected to recover.
Police believe that the shooting spurred from an argument at the party.
Officials arrested Jamese Herring, 21, who lived on Gillespie Street, on charges of voluntary manslaughter. He was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond. Police said additional charges may be coming.
