Man arrested after sex assault reported at NC State campus apartment
A Cary man has been arrested after a woman reported a sexual assault at a North Carolina State University on-campus apartment building on Tuesday, according to arrest records.
Posted — UpdatedRoberto Alvarez Jr., 37, was charged with sexual battery, breaking or entering and assaulting a person with a disability, records showed Thursday.
On Tuesday, a woman with a disability said a man she didn’t know followed her into Hudson Hall, in the Wolf Village apartment complex, around 2:30 p.m. and hugged her, kissed her and fondled her chest.
An arrest warrants state that Alvarez knew the victim was "physically helpless."
Alvarez was held in the Wake County jail on a $6,000 bond.
