Man accused of trying to drive through checkpoint
Wake County authorities arrested a Raleigh man late Friday for allegedly trying to drive through a DWI checkpoint at Poole and Barwell roads.Posted — Updated
Dominique Dotson, 20, of 5021 Sedgwick Drive, almost hit an officer with his vehicle while trying to flee, according to the arrest warrant.
Dotson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, eluding arrest, provisional DWI and driving with a revoked license. He also had outstanding warrants from Raleigh police for first-degree breaking and entering and second-degree larceny.
Authorities arrested 89 people in all at the checkpoint for various violations.
