Make time for Girl Talk, Poe Center's mom-daughter puberty program

A really quick post and shout out for the Poe Center for Health Education's Girl Talk, which is coming up next month.

This virtual program is for girls in fourth to seventh grade and their moms or mom-like figures. The focus is on all things puberty. I did it with my younger daughter, and I highly recommend it. They do a great job talking about a variety of topics and provide some great openings for moms to continue the conversation on these very important topics.

Most girls get their period at age 12, but it can start as early as age 10. It's important to be ready for whenever the time comes, and it's best for them to hear it first from their mom or mom-like figure.

The session is 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 5. The cost is $25 per family (and can include multiple daughters).
