RALEIGH, N.C. — Getting outside this weekend? You're in luck.

Temperatures will start out warm on both Saturday and Sunday, in the mid-60s.

By the afternoon temperatures will climb into the mid-70s.

The majority of the weekend should dodge any serious rain before a wet start to next week.

Friday's cold front dropped the unseasonably warm February temperatures, but the air will warm up again over the weekend.

"We have two fronts we're watching, and one is bringing some much warmer air," WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said. "We'll see temperatures in the mid-70s on Saturday."

Temperatures will definitely warm up before the chance for rain enters the picture.

But don’t be alarmed by some clouds and precipitation toward the end of the day Sunday.

"You might need an umbrella if you're heading out Sunday afternoon," Maze said.

7-Day Forecast

The moisture will ride up the slow-moving front on Monday, though, to soak the Triangle.

"We could get up to an inch," Maze said.

Temperatures will remain mild through next week, with the lowest high temperature coming Monday at 60 degrees.

Tuesday will be warm with a high of 64 degrees and sunny skies that extend into Wednesday.
