The goal is to create 100,000 snowflakes by Dec. 14. That's Tuesday. The site also features a free virtual snowflake-catching game.
Each customer who makes a snowflake will be entered into a sweepstakes for a $77 gift card that is being awarded daily along with the grand prize of a winter block party. If 100,000 snowflakes are made, American Eagle Outfitters, which owns 77kids, will donate $25,000 to split between eight hospitals, including WakeMed in Raleigh.
At last check, 91,371 snowflakes had been made since mid-November. So they're almost there. It takes just a few minutes to make a snowflake.
