Val Creager has been very busy since I featured her this past summer.
The mom of two is a professional photographer and co-manager of the Apex Farmers' Market. She also helps her husband Dave with his business, Neighbor Boy Home Services, and the popular Neighbor Boy Christmas tree lot at the corner of Davis Drive and Old Jenks Road in Apex, which opened Thanksgiving day. Together, they also run Tequila Dale's, a line of sauces and salsas that have grown in popularity.
Tequila Dale's is one of a dozen local businesses featured in our 2015 Made by Mom (and Dad!) Gift Guide, sponsored by Midwifery at Women's Health Alliance. Tequila Dale's offers a line of natural, gluten free products such as the fresh and sassy salsa, WOW sauce and the sexy spicy salsa.
Since I last spoke to Val, you can now buy all three of Tequila Dale's products at Whole Foods stores in Cary and Raleigh. They also are available at the Hook and Cleaver in Fuquay-Varina and Publix in Cary. In the works, Vall tells me, is a healthy, natural, gluttn free BBQ sauce.
"Business is doing great," she said. "We are grateful to have had a busy year."
