Batteries!!!
How many times have you gone through your physical and mental list of everything you need for Christmas? I can’t even count how many. But it never fails. The kids fly through their presents in the morning, pick out what they want to play with first and than say, “Mom, I need batteries.”
You run to the kitchen and dig through the drawer only to find two batteries when you need three. That leads to a rush trip, in lounge pants, to the convenience or drug store to buy overpriced Duracells.
I’m making it a goal to be prepared this year. (BTW, I’m also including a list of how many and what type of batteries the hot toys need.)
I just want to love on the kids all day and not leave the house. Enjoy the holiday. I have a tendency to get caught up in cooking or cleaning up or whatever chore. Not going to do it this year. Stop and smell the Frasier Fir.
