Lynda Loveland: Baby book blues

I tend to carry a lot of monkeys on my back. I think women in general, do. That's how we're genetically engineered.

For instance, I still need to clean out my kids' closets, the linen closet and the junk cabinet in the kitchen. They're all on my to-do list. And it's a long one.

But there's one gorilla I've been carrying around for nearly seven years. It's called a baby book. Maybe you've heard of it. Heck, maybe you've even completed one! I've seen the first couple of pages but that's about it. Every time I get pregnant and I'm on maternity leave, I promise myself that I'm going to finish a baby book or at least bring it up to date.

My husband just laughs at me. It's become a joke! I do have a journal that I've been writing in, occasionally, but nothing organized. I feel horrible not doing it. I have so much anxiety about it I don't even know how to start. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Maybe I need a time out. Say, around dinner time. J
