LUMBERTON, N.C. — Robeson County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man on Monday and charged him with arson and communicating threats.

Aaron Locklear, 32, of Lumberton was arrested on Monday by members of the Eastern District Of North Carolina U.S. Marshals Service and Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with second degree arson and communicating threats. He was held at the Robeson County Detention Center with a $200,000 secured bond.

Officials said they responded to the 1300 block of Parnell Road in Lumberton on Aug. 12 to a case they later determined was the result of arson. Officials said the arson was the result of a domestic dispute between Locklear and the victim.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 671-3100 or (910) 671-3170.
