Lows in the 30s? Find out how cold it could get this week
Lows could drop into the 30s late this week, signaling that fall is finally here to stay.
Posted — UpdatedAccording to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, while a few hot days could still pop up here and there, milder, fall-like days will be the norm in the Triangle starting this week, signaling that cooler weather is finally here to stay.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be much milder than Monday, with highs in the low 70s. Thursday will be even cooler with a high of 62 degrees and a low of 42.
Friday and Saturday will be somewhere in between, with highs in the upper 60s.
According to Gardner, Sunday will be the coolest day of the week, with highs in the upper 50s or low 60s and overnight temperatures as low as 39 degrees in Raleigh.
There is little chance for rain this week, with a just a few scattered showers likely Tuesday and Saturday.
