Lonerider Brewing Head of Marketing Tom Simon share details about the Raleigh brewery's new Brew It Forward series, which includes special beers with a portion of proceeds going to local nonprofits. The first beer is called "Not All Heroes Wear Crepes" and is to benefit InterAct.
So Lone Rider. We've always had a strong philosophical background, and we've always been the core. It's been a very big core of our team and our company. So this year we wanted to do something where we could get back engaged with nonprofits in the community that needed help. Um, but do something our way. So we created the brute Forward series and so interact is the first of this series we came up with. We came up with a pastry stout. It sounds very much the way it tastes very much the way it sounds. Um, we added some habanero and cocoa Nibs to it. It's just got a nice kind of smooth finish to it. And it was a fun beer to try. You know, we've been really wanting to try to make new specialty beers and have fun with it, and so this was kind of a fun opportunity to take this beer for a spin and let our brewers be creative to make some great stuff. We have three more that we're gonna be putting out this year. Um, we've already set up the next one, which is going to be with district. See, so that is going to be a rose. A beer, which is exactly what it sounds like that will have grapes, wine, grapes and stuff like that will be an interesting little finish. Um, and we're calling that pedal to the metal.
