RALEIGH, N.C. — Logan's Garden Shop, a family-owned garden center and café located in downtown Raleigh, is selling their property in Seaboard Station and moving.

The garden shop has been in Seaboard Station since 1991, after Robert Logan Jr. purchased the historic railroad station. The Logan family restored the station it became Logan's Trading Company. Now, the once-quiet corner of downtown Raleigh is bustling with new businesses and construction.

In a letter from Logan's, owners said that they would not be selling the business.

"We are selling the Seaboard Station property to explore how to best adapt our business model to adjust for the growth that we’ve experienced, improve the customer experience, and create a sustainable business model for the future," the letter said.

The owners said they hope a new location will better serve their customers.

"This was not an easy decision to make," the letter said. "We are confident that is the right one for the future of the business."

The garden shop and cafe will continue to be in downtown Raleigh for several years, the message said.
