I'm meteorologist, Amy will is here in the severe weather center. It's going to be a warm day today. We'll have mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper seventies to lower eighties. It will change over the weekend though. As far as our temperatures go, we'll have cooler temperatures over the weekend. Thanks to a cold front that will swing through the area still well to the west of us right now, but it does move through this weekend. It brings cooler temperatures and the potential for some rain on Friday into early Saturday. Here's a look at the jet stream pattern and this shows you where the cool temperatures are and when they arrive to North Carolina, it's going to move in the second half of the day. Saturday. We'll really notice the change. Sunday morning, temperatures will be in the forties. We'll have lows in the forties, Sunday morning, Monday morning and Tuesday morning, it will be a pretty big temperature change our high today and tomorrow 81 degrees and then we're going to go all the way down to 44 degrees by Monday morning. So back to jacket weather still warm for the next few days. But Saturday is high down to 75 Sunday, our high temperature is 66 and then morning lows will be fairly mild through Saturday. But then down into the forties for lows by Sunday, continuing through at least Tuesday. So this strong cold front will drop our temperatures. It does bring about a 30% chance for some light rain Friday into early Saturday. But overall the weekend forecast is looking pretty good, partly sunny Saturday. But sunshine on Sunday, our high temperature Sunday gets up to 66.
