I wrote about Carolyn Zahnow's new book "Save the Teens" about two months ago.
Zahnow lost her only child, Cameron, to suicide several years ago. In her grief, Zahnow started a journal. And that journal eventually turned into the book. The book follows her son's final days and provides information about teen depression, substance abuse and surviving after a suicide. Read more about it on save-the-teens.com.
I told Zahnow , who also is the facilitator of Wake Forest Survivors of Suicide, to keep me posted on any events she might be involved in. And she did.
She'll be speaking at First Alliance Church at 4400 Buffaloe Road in Raleigh from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 7 (that's Monday).
