List of grocery stores closing due to hurricane

There are still a number of grocery, big box and drug stores in the WRAL viewing area that are closed due to flooding and power outages. Read on for the current list of links to store closure lists for the stores.

There are still a number of grocery, big box and drug stores in the WRAL viewing area that are closed due to flooding and power outages. Read on for the current list of links to store closure lists for the stores.

Please keep in mind that even if your store is open, they may be very low on stock as it is difficult and unsafe to get trucks in to some areas.

As flooding continues in some areas, more stores may close in the coming days, so be sure to check the grocery store websites for the most current information on store closures.

Aldi

An updated (and constantly updated) list of the Aldi stores that are closed can be found at www.aldi.us.

As of Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 8:30 am, the following update was made on the Aldi website:

The following stores have modified hours; Closing at 6:00PM EDT, September 18, 2018 on Curfew

Carlie C's

From the Carlie C's Facebook page on Tuesday, 9/18: "Roseboro got power back so we should be open today! Cedar Creek in Fayetteville is in the evacuation zone and will be closed today."

The rest of their stores are open and they are working on getting trucks to the damaged areas to restock.

They have been updating the status of their stores on their Facebook page.

Food Lion

There are still many Food Lion stores closed in NC on Tuesday, 9/18, due to flooding and accessibility concerns.

Harris Teeter

The following Harris Teeter store is closed as of 9/18/18:

Cross Roads shopping center store in New Bern, N.C.

In addition, there are a number of stores on modified hours in Fayetteville, Goldsboro, New Bern, Wilmington, Hampstead, Morehead City and more. See the list of hours for these stores at HarrisTeeter.com.

Lidl

As of Monday, September 17th, the following Lidl stores are temporarily closed:

Lidl Morehead City: 5038 US-70 Hwy, Morehead City, NC 28557

Lidl Havelock: 547 US-70 W Hwy, Havelock, NC 28532

Lidl Kinston: 4050 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504

Publix

A number of Publix stores in the viewing area have adjusted store hours including the store in Fayetteville. The hours on 9/18 for the Fayetteville Publix on Raeford Rd (in the Tallywood Shopping Center) are 7 am - 7 pm and the pharmacy is closing at 7 pm.

Target

According to their website: "As of Monday, Sept. 17, all Target stores in the area have reopened to serve our guests." See the details on their their corporate website.

Walgreens

Walgreens has temporarily closed a number of stores in and around the Triangle and throughout the state as of Tuesday, 9/18.

According to their website, stores in Pittsboro, Fayetteville, Roseboro and more have close temporarily.

Walmart and Sam's Club

As of 9/18 at 6 am, Walmart and Sam's Club still have many stores closed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia including stores in Fayettevillle, Hope Mills, Lumberton, Pembroke, Spring Lake, Swansboro, Wallace and more.

Whole Foods

As of Monday, 9/17, all Triangle Whole Foods stores (and other NC stores) are open and back to normal business hours other than Wilmington. The Wilmington store will be open 9am-5pm on Tuesday, 9/18/18.
