KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — People are going to great lengths to ensure they get their farm fresh bulk bargain chicken this week. Some customers in today's line in Knightdale said they had 'camped out' overnight, eating dinner and even sleeping in their vehicle to make sure they'd have an early place in line.

According to customers who said this is their third time attending a bulk chicken drive-thru, the boxes of chicken often sell out very quickly--sometimes even within an hour.

As the lines often grow hundreds of vehicles long, it's safe to say not everyone who lines up gets chicken.

House of Raeford Farms said they don't want people lining up for hours and going home empty-handed, so they are planning to work on their logistics and trying to add more supply.

The chicken sales are cash-only, although some locations allow customers to pre-pay. A 40lbs. case of chicken goes for about $45.

Knightdale Police are preparing for long lines and crowds. On Tuesday, the chicken sale comes to Raleigh.
