LILLINGTON, N.C. — Harnett County sheriff's deputies charged a Lillington woman with stealing more than $30,000 while employed at Mt. Ariel United Methodist Church.

Mary O'Quinn Roberson, 72, of Heritage Valley Apartments, allegedly embezzled $33,249.04 from the church while she served as the treasurer there, Sheriff Larry Rollins said.
