Ligon Middle School bus involved in crash

A truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries Thursday after running a stop sign on State Street and crashing into a school bus carrying seven Ligon Middle School students, according to Raleigh police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries Thursday after running a stop sign on State Street and crashing into a school bus carrying seven Ligon Middle School students, according to Raleigh police.

The bus then crashed into another vehicle. The students and bus driver were not injured, and the truck driver's name was not released.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. and involved school bus No. 947, which was transporting students in an after-school program, police said.

No other information was released.
