Graves of two men draw people to Southport cemeteries

Known as the "Gentleman Giant," Elias Gore stood 7 feet 11inches tall and weighed almost 400 pounds. He died in 1944. Captain L.C. "Craddie" Arnold contracted what many thought was spinal meningitis. It crippled his legs and he had them cut off. Both men are buried in Southport cemeteries.
