Hello everyone. I'm meteorologist Mike Mays in the W R L Severe Weather center with our forecast update for this Wednesday night. We had a lot of cloud cover this morning, partly cloudy skies this afternoon. We expect plenty of cloud cover in the morning. In fact, there could be an overcast in spots with drizzle, uh maybe some sprinkles 64 by eight AM. So it will be a mild start like what we have this morning. Our forecast low is 62 a lot of cloud to start the day at the bus stop with maybe some sprinkles or drizzle 68 by 10 AM and hour by hour tomorrow. It will be warm and it will be muggy. Now, we had 81 today at R D U in Fayetteville. If we have enough sunshine, we could easily go past that 81 maybe 82. We'll see what happens as we get into the afternoon. We do expect partly cloudy skies and a small chance for a shower. So here's what's happening in the southeast. We're watching two areas of low pressure, one off our coast that brought a few sprinkles and light rain showers to our eastern counties and then the other one in the Gulf of Mexico and the hurricane center is watching for potential tropical development. It's about a 20% chance over the next two and seven days. Not likely to form into a name storm, but it is bringing gust winds and heavy rain to parts of Florida. It will probably do that for the next couple of days for us. We expect another warm day tomorrow. We had 81 today. 80 81 82 really dependent on the amount of sunshine we see tomorrow partly cloudy in the afternoon with about a 20% chance for a shower, 20% chance for a shower Friday afternoon as well. But a warmer day highs in the low to mid eighties, 77 though a boon 81 in Ashville 80 at Wilmington and then on Saturday, I think the day is going to be dry. It's going to be very warm. Our highs in the upper eighties but later on in the evening, as a cold front begins to move on in, could see some showers and storms and once the front gets past us on Sunday, looks like it will be a little bit cooler. And also we'll have a lot of cloud cover for the day on Sunday. So our forecast overnight, we'll see some low clouds developed by day break, upper fifties to maybe mid sixties in Fayetteville. 57 at Roxboro, 64 at Rocky Mount and then tomorrow morning cloud some afternoon sunshine low eighties for the triangle Fayetteville Clinton, 80 in South Hill dew points will be like they were today. So it will feel a little bit muggy over the next seven days. The warmest is Saturday 88 cooler on Sunday, 75 the morning. Low on Monday, 56 dew points, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday could be in the forties, highs in the low to mid eighties. So it won't feel too uncomfortable. We expect the smallest chance of rain or I should say the greatest chance of rain come Saturday night at a 30% chance. That's our forecast update for this Wednesday night. Have a good night. HOWEVER, THE WATERS ARE UNUSUALLY WARM, WHICH MAKES FOR RIGHT CONDITIONS BECAUSE WARMER WATER MEANS STRONGER. HURRICANES. NORMALLY A MUCH WARMER THAN NORMAL THAN IT LEADS TO WELL ABOVE NORMAL ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON, THE 2022 ATLANTIC SEASON HAD 14 NAMED STORMS WITH 2 MAJOR HURRICANES. FIONA AND IAN, WHICH CAUSED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN DAMAGE AND KILLED DOZENS. >> BOTH OF THOSE NAMES WERE RETIRED THIS YEAR.
