Continental Airlines on Saturday begins weekly nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Cancun, Mexico.

<b>MORRISVILLE, N.C.</b> — Continental Airlines on Saturday begins weekly nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Cancun, Mexico.

The inaugural flight will depart RDU at 10:17 a.m., and Continental will celebrate its first international flight from RDU with a Mariachi band playing near its ticket counter in Terminal 2.

A return flight from the popular vacation spot will arrive at RDU each Saturday at 5:18 p.m.

With the addition of Cancun, Continental now offers 15 daily departures to four cities, including Cleveland, Houston and Newark, N.J.
