Eastover

This central Cumberland County town was originally called Flea hill. It incorporated in 2007 and has a population of 2,628.

North Wilkesboro

The home of MerleFest also hosts the Hometown Opry every Friday morning and the Brushy Mount Apple Festival every October.

Southport

At the mouth of the Cape Fear River, this town of 2,351 is a popular filming spot. It throws a four-day Fourth of July festival.

West Jefferson

This town of 1,081 is the home of North Carolina's only cheese factory. It has a thriving downtown and flourishing arts community.

Westover

This northwestern Washington County town is also known as White Marsh and was established in 1878.
