Cardboard for Dinner

Weigh day can be a personal mayday during the holiday season. It’s so easy to pack on the pounds. Well, I’d like to give my coach Tara Wind a WRAL High 5. Her 100 Days of Fitness campaign is working! I lost one lb. last week despite a slew of holiday parties and many culinary temptations. I would also like to give a big shout-out to my wife Cindy for helping me eat healthy at home. I know Cindy didn’t particularly like the whole wheat pasta she served with chili last night but I thought it tasted great. Cindy thinks it tastes like cardboard.
I’ve got a new workout today. It’s called the Pyramid. I’ve checked with the Attorney General’s Office and been assured that this pyramid scheme is legal! Here we go:
5 minutes run, bike, stairs
4 minutes run, bike, stairs
3 minutes run, bike, stairs
2 minutes run, bike, stairs
1 minute run, bike, stairs
The sweat begins to flow at 1:30PM. Maybe I’ll treat myself to a smoothie afterward. Tomorrow - those dreaded intervals!
